Airport arrival transfer
On your arrival day, a private vehicle or group coach meets your party at Jeddah (JED) or Madinah (MED) airport and transfers you directly to your hotel. Our Saudi ground team coordinates the pickup, so there is no need to arrange your own transport from the airport.

Makkah to Madinah intercity transfer
The journey between Makkah and Madinah (approximately 430km) is included in every package. Most itineraries use a private coach, which takes approximately 4–5 hours by road. The Haramain High Speed Railway (2 hours) can be arranged on request for applicable packages.

Guided Ziyarat — Makkah
Guided Ziyarat visits to key sites in Makkah are conducted by private vehicle or coach with a knowledgeable guide. Ziyarat in Makkah covers the major historical and spiritual sites surrounding Masjid al-Haram.

Guided Ziyarat — Madinah
Guided Ziyarat in Madinah covers the key sites surrounding Masjid an-Nabawi. All visits are by private vehicle with a licensed guide who explains the historical and spiritual significance of each location.

Airport departure transfer
At the end of your stay, we arrange your return transfer from your hotel to Jeddah or Madinah airport in time for your flight. Departure timing is coordinated by our Saudi ground team based on your specific flight time.

What is NOT included in ground transportation
The following are not covered by your package transportation:
- Personal taxi or Uber rides during free time
- Optional excursions outside the guided Ziyarat programme
- Shopping trips or personal sightseeing
- Intra-city transport (e.g. moving between hotels if you extend your stay independently)
Taxis, Careem and Uber are widely available in both Makkah and Madinah for personal use during your free time at very reasonable rates.

Getting around Makkah and Madinah during your stay
Walking to the Haram
All our hotels are within walking distance of both Harams. In Makkah, the closest hotel (Swissôtel) is 150 metres; the furthest (VOCO) is 400 metres. You will not need transport to reach the Haram for daily prayers.
Inside the Haram
Masjid al-Haram is the largest mosque in the world. It has extensive internal transport including travelators (moving walkways), elevators to all Tawaf floors, and dedicated wheelchair lanes on every floor. The Sa'i walkway between Safa and Marwa is fully enclosed and air-conditioned.
Taxi and ride-hailing apps
Both Careem and Uber operate in Makkah and Madinah. Fares are very affordable. For personal errands, shopping at the Abraj Al-Bait mall or exploring areas outside your guided Ziyarat, these apps work reliably and are metered so there is no haggling with drivers.
Haramain High Speed Railway
The Haramain High Speed Rail connects Jeddah, Makkah and Madinah in approximately 2 hours at speeds of up to 300km/h. Tickets can be purchased at the station. It is a comfortable, modern train journey and an experience many pilgrims appreciate — we can arrange this for the Makkah–Madinah leg on request.

Umrah transportation from the USA — what to expect end to end
Your Umrah journey from the USA involves two distinct phases of travel: the international flight leg from your US city to Jeddah or Madinah, and the ground transportation within Saudi Arabia. Both are included and managed in your package.
On the flight side, we book round-trip economy airfare from your US departure city (New York, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Washington DC and 10 other US cities). Depending on your departure city, flights route through Istanbul (Turkish Airlines), Doha (Qatar Airways), Dubai (Emirates), Amman (Royal Jordanian) or directly to Jeddah via Saudia.
Once you land in Saudi Arabia, everything transitions to our Saudi ground team. They manage your airport pickup, hotel check-in assistance, the intercity transfer between Makkah and Madinah, all Ziyarat visits and your departure airport transfer. You do not need to arrange or pay for any ground transport independently during your stay.
